Main objective was to update the knowledge among scientists and entrepreneurs of participating countries focusing on CEE countries in the field of Med/Pharm BT with particular focus on the next planning period of upcoming FP9 EC program period 2021-2027 and to strengthen the cooperation among European countries with the specific focus on CEE in the field of Med/Pharm BT. Another objective was to increase the role of international centres, especially ICGEB, JRC-EC, CEI in strengthening and coordinating of cooperative programs in CEE regions especially towards next planning period (FP9 EC, Interreg, others). Focus was also on preparation a draft plan of join follow-up initiatives oriented on cooperative projects relevant to upcoming period and discuss and prepare a setting-up of a cooperative platform and regional CEE network including research institutions and innovative and high-tech companies in Med/Pharm BT to act in concerted action with international centres.
